For as long as you maintain an active Unanet Support Agreement, you are free to visit our download site at https://support.unanet.com and download any updates or add-ons you need. This page focuses on obtaining a new minor point release version of the Unanet Software.
The topics covered on this page include:
Note: As a general rule, Unanet usually publishes any new point releases on Fridays if there are any changes warranting a new build, with less frequent builds for older releases. This is not a definitive schedule but a general practice.
When you purchased Unanet, you probably visited our support site and requested an ID (if not, you can request one at this time).
To obtain a login to the Unanet support portal or to create a new ticket, send an email to support@unanet.com with the subject "Support Portal ID request".
The following conditions must be met to be granted a support account:
Use your support ID to gain access to our Support site (https://support.unanet.com).
Note: Once you get your support site id, take some time and browse the support site -- it contains many useful links for configuring and maintaining your Unanet system. Also available on the support site are additional training files, and a change log so that you can stay updated on the latest point releases and builds.
On the download site, https://download.unanet.com/support/EmbeddedSupport, you will be presented with a list of software components to download. Regardless of your platform OS (Unix or Windows), you will want to download the latest Unanet war file from the "Point Release Upgrade" section on this page.
IMPORTANT -- you will only need to download the WAR file from the support site. DO NOT download the full new installation package. Running the full install over an existing setup will overwrite your customer specific property files with the default versions.
Save this file to your server somewhere -- you may need to access it again.
ZIP FILE Note: Occasionally, the downloaded file will have an extra ".zip" file extension appended to the file (due to certain browser security settings). Should this occur, simply rename the file without the .zip extension (do not attempt to unzip the file).
Once you have the new point release war file, you will want to back up your system data.
